Responsibilities & Qualifications

Act as a liaison between Personal Lines and the Information Technology Department. Triage and support production issues. Working independently, gather and explain business requirements, define user stories and acceptance criteria, conduct user acceptance testing and story closure, and prioritize functionality needed for new features or enhancements. Work closely with IT squads as their key contact to provide business driven sprint goals and vision, collaborate on right-sized solutions and provide overall leadership to the team. Communicate system or process changes to the Personal Lines Department. Create documentation and procedures to promote efficiency through standardization, process improvement, work simplification or other methods.  Implement new systems or processes. Review department structure and workflow function to avoid duplication of tasks. Maintain user related documentation. Train users on new procedures or technology.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 2 years of experience in a Personal Lines insurance environment
  • Ability to communicate with internal/external customers
  • Ability to perform highly detailed work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience using personal computers and intermediate knowledge of MS software applications, comparative rating tools, and query tools

 

Preferred Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field
  • Associate in General Insurance designation
