Responsibilities & Qualifications

Monitors all aspects data quality for the organization, with the focus being on enterprise level data sources.  Works to create a framework for measuring and reporting on data quality.  Engages with data stewards to create necessary corrective plans to improve data quality at an individual data element level. 

Work with project teams to profile and baseline data quality when new sources of data are created. Communicates with data champions overall data quality themes and solicits input from them on corrective measures.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 6-8 years of insurance experience
  • Proven analytical and mathematical skills
  • Statistical knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of data profiling techniques
  • Thorough understanding of insurance metrics
  • Ability to manage large complex projects or processes independently

Preferred Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and JavaScript.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests
  • Analytical skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of best practices in data analysis
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
