Job Summary

As an Infrastructure Engineer on the Cloud Platform team, you will be focused on building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will work closely with architects and senior engineers to design and implement foundational Azure services that support the delivery of our applications and services. This position is hands-on and engineering-focused, with an emphasis on infrastructure development, automation, and platform enablement.

Work Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of a West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events. The position can be based in West Bend, Madison or Appleton.

 

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Design and build cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable platform components, landing zones, and service blueprints aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
  • Participate in platform engineering initiatives that improve developer enablement, such as self-service provisioning and CI/CD integrations.
  • Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to improve system automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure reliability.
  • Document infrastructure procedures, standards, and configurations for operational clarity and team alignment.
  • Participate in monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning efforts to maintain service health and performance.
  • Contribute to implementing security best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of core cloud services, including identity and access management (IAM), security, and resource configuration in a cloud-native environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, and monitoring.
