Job Summary

Join our team as a Contingent Workforce Analyst and play a key role in managing West Bend’s contingent workforce program. In this role, you’ll guide managers through the non-employee lifecycle, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and streamline vendor relationships. You’ll also help shape policies, improve processes, and provide reporting that supports smarter, more efficient workforce decisions.

Work Location

This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations.  Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule.  Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Summary of Responsibilities

The Contingent Workforce Analyst will be responsible for the administration and compliance of our non-employee lifecycle to support West Bend’s contingent workforce program. As the primary point of contact for managers across the organization, this role provides operational guidance while ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. In addition to day-to-day execution, the role will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance frameworks to reduce risk and ensure audit readiness. The role collaborates closely with HR, Vendor Management, Legal, IT, and other internal teams to ensure the contingent workforce program is streamlined, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners on key sourcing initiatives to achieve best value within acceptable risk.
  • Build and enhance relationships with strategic vendors to deliver high levels of service while maintaining effective costs and favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Rationalize the number of contingent labor vendors to simplify the vendor landscape and drive efficiencies. 
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine internal policies and procedures governing contingent workforce usage.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including monitoring engagement duration, classification, and type of work performed; advise on conversions to employee status when appropriate.
  • Manage end-to-end contingent worker lifecycle activities, including contract approvals, onboarding tasks, background checks, system setups, renewals, and offboarding.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Procurement, and IT to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
  • Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and internal/external program documentation.
  • Monitor and report on contingent workforce metrics, performance, and spend; provide analysis to support compliance and business decisions.
  • Support worker classification, documentation, and audit processes to reduce compliance risks.
  • Escalate and advise leadership on potential compliance or regulatory concerns.
  • Maintain and produce reports and dashboards that track contingent labor utilization, costs, vendor performance, and compliance trends.
  • Provide timely, accurate data to support program monitoring, audit readiness, and decision-making.
  • Provide operational guidance to hiring managers and stakeholders regarding contingent workforce procedures, tools, and compliance requirements.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in HR operations or contractor/vendor relationships.
  • Experience developing policies, SOPs, or governance frameworks for workforce programs.
  • Knowledge of contingent workforce models, vendor engagement processes, and compliance with labor laws/regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with UKG (HRIS) and contract management systems is a plus.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; able to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders with confidence and poise.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently with initiative.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Commitment to respecting and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Experience with contract review and basic financial analysis is a plus.

Salary Statement

The salary range for this position is $67,000-$100,000.   

 

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
