Job Summary

This role is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and investigating P&C insurance claims to determine their validity and ensure accurate and fair settlements. This role involves examining policy coverage, gathering evidence (such as statements, reports, and documentation), interviewing claimants and witnesses, and identifying potential fraud or inconsistencies. 

Work Location

This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations.  Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule.  Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Are you ready to put your problem-solving skills to work and make a real difference for customers? We’re looking for a motivated Claims Professional to handle a variety of low to moderate complexity Personal and Commercial Lines auto, general liability (GL), and property damage (PD) claims.

 

In this role, you’ll:

  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims while delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
  • Manage active files, ensure accurate reserving, and maintain compliance with audit guidelines.
  • Learn and grow through hands-on training, mentorship, and project opportunities.

What You Bring:

  • We welcome candidates with a wide range of business backgrounds, including operations, sales, marketing, finance, customer service, or relatable skills

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and contribute across multiple functional areas
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of managing priorities and delivering results in fast-paced settings
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to take initiative in evolving business environments
  • Experience handling auto and GL/PD claims is preferred.

  

Preferred Education & Credentials:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Associate in General Insurance and/or Associate in Claims designation.

Salary Statement

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$77,000.   

 

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
