Job Summary

This Loss Control Manager role is a key evolution in how we deliver value - bringing clarity, modern leadership, and elevated service standards to a complex and growing book of business. We’re seeking an innovative leader who is energized by the opportunity to redefine Loss Control and shape its impact across agents and underwriting teams.

Work Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule. The successful candidate will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events. The position can be based in West Bend or Madison.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Accountable for the management of a loss control team.
  • Coordinates team’s activities with other disciplines to assure growth and profit performance.
  • May be responsible for overseeing or servicing a small number of accounts.
  • Responsible to ensure consistent delivery of account services to a high degree of performance.
  • Responsible for the coordination of selection and training of personnel and the initiation of personnel actions such as salary adjustments, performance, promotions, etc.
  • Mentor direct reports on a wide variety of situations and circumstances to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Develop policies and procedures to enhance loss control operations and ensure proper training and implementation across teams.
  • Manage and maintain the loss control platform to support operational efficiency and effectiveness. Completes projects as assigned.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 10 years of professional experience in related field with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  •  Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop others
  •  Knowledge of insurance, regulatory codes and standards and a wide array of business classes
  • Demonstrated skills with organization, analytics and written and verbal communication
  •  Problem solving, critical thinking, active listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint     Proven interpersonal, presentation, marketing, oral and written communication skills

Preferred Education and Training

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Loss Control, Risk Management, Safety, Insurance or related field

 

Salary Statement

The salary range for this position is $109,432 - $136,790.
  
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
