West Bend is currently seeking students for our 2025 Summer IT Internship Program! The IT Internship Program provides opportunities to get hands-on experience with software, data, cloud, desktop or security engineering!

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who is motivated to design, develop and deliver extensible data solutions as part of an agile engineering team. Ideal candidates possess experience with cloud-native data tooling, including programming languages such as SQL and Python, integration platforms such as Databricks, Snowpark and Azure Data Factory; as well as data storage technology such as Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure Data Lake Storage. All candidates should have experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry and be familiar with data modeling, data warehousing, data lake, and data mesh concepts. As a Senior Data Engineer at West Bend, you will handle the most complex issues across an evolving, cloud-native landscape.

As a Data Scientist Intern, you will work collaboratively with the business areas in a fast-paced agile environment to define business problems quantitively, develop predictive models to predict risk better, and distill value from our internal or third-party data. As a claims intern, you will review and analyze low severity injury claims, research and verify coverage, review and document medical documents for workers’ compensation losses. The DSE Internship Program provides opportunities to get hands-on experience working with Insurance professionals, leveraging data engineering skills. West Bend is seeking an experienced contract surety underwriter based out of the Charlotte, NC area, to take over an established territory comprised of the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Reporting to the Madison, Wisconsin office, this individual will be responsible for managing the territory, growing the contract surety book of business, and supporting company goals by identifying those actions needed to assure premium growth and underwriting profit.

This full time lead janitorial position is second shift working 4:30pm to 1:00am, Monday through Friday. General duties include but are not limited to: gathering and disposal of trash, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning floors, washing windows, vacuuming, dusting, polishing stainless steel, laundry, and the operation of a variety of floor care equipment.
